Common-Law Spouses

In Quebec, the law doesn't require alimony (support payments) between common-law spouses who separate. However, you may still be entitled to other financial compensations such as unjust enrichment and child support. You also have rights on property and goods of which you are a co-owner, which can be debated in court.

We have extensive experience with common-law couples cases, and we can help you determine what financial compensations you would be entitled to in separation.
